The first International Jazz event was held in Bali under the Bali Live Festival, showcasing some of Bali and Indonesia’s best jazz talents such as Balawan and Rio Sidiq, and also featuring international Jazz artists including the Earth, Wind and Fire Experience feat. Al McKay, Incognito, Omar etc.
The main festival event was staged at Taman Bhagawan, Tanjung Benoa, on 8 March 2014, while pre-main event venues are scattered around South Bali at various venues, including Beachwalk, Le Meridien Hotel in Jimbaran, Ryoshi Restaurant in Sanur, and Ubud Jazz Cafe in Ubud.
Bali Live Festival combines music-lovers with a party atmosphere, where they can enjoy great live music while basking under the sun. The jazz event, supported by vendors offering local food and drinks, supports local companies and at the same time provides music-lovers with a fabulous musical experience.
The beachside venue of Taman Bhagawan attracts guests from surrounding hotels to visit the event and also offered world-class cuisine to complement those seeking a slightly more luxury jazz experience.
The successful completion of the event raised a suggestion of making it a regular event as a great way to promote Bali, particularly for those looking for an escape through music. While Bali offers world-class spas and is generally famous for its unique cultural tourism industry, it may have yet found another soul, through jazz music and Bali Live Festival.
Kura-Kura Bus is proud to announce that we were one of the main sponsors of the event, providing shuttle transport for festival-goers from four major tourism areas: Ubud, Legian, Seminyak and Sanur.
