As the year draws to a close the island of Bali gets even busier, with both domestic and foreign visitors arriving to celebrate the new year. It’s an already popular time as many families are visiting over the Christmas school break. An increase in tourists is noticeable by the increase in traffic on the roads, and it can sometimes take a lot longer than usual to get to where you’re going. On New Years Eve itself it’s almost impossible to get through the traffic. In fact, the area around bustling Kuta is closed in the afternoon and for this reason Kura-Kura Bus will not be operating on 31 December 2014….

 Kura-Kura Bus will be back on the streets of Bali from 1 September 2014, when services on four bus lines will resume operation. Additional lines in the popular tourist areas of Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, South Nusa Dua, Sanur and Ubud will be launched in early October 2014. The four lines that will be running from 1 September 2014 are:○ Kuta○ Legian○ Seminyak○ New Kuta Beach (new)We are happy to announce the extension of the Seminyak Line which now runs from Seminyak Square to the popular Beachwalk shopping mall in Kuta. Kura-Kura Bus was featured today in one of Japan’s most popular economic newspapers,  the Nikkei Shinbun.
