Kura-Kura Bus attended the recent “Tourism EXPO 2014 Japan” held in Tokyo from 25 – 28 September 2014.
Formerly known as the “JATA Travel Fair”, it is one of the largest travel events in the world. The event is held annually at Tokyo Big Sight, and this year over 150,000 visitors attended over the four-day period.
Kura-Kura Bus was proud to have an exhibition stall at the event, with two Japanese staff, one Russian staff, and the ever-popular Kuramon mascot being on hand to meet members of the public.
It was great to hear that some people had already used Kura-Kura Bus in Bali, with many asking about more information about the bus service and as to when the suspension period would end.
Our Kura-Kura Bus mascot, Kuramon, was very popular in Japan and had the chance to meet with other fun characters, known as Yuru-kyara.
Yuru-kyara are fun and friendly mascots owned by national government organizations, local governments and companies for the purpose of public relations.
In fact, we think Kuramon was in his element – he’d never seen so many characters just like him…
It was a wonderful opportunity to promote Bali as a tourist destination and we hope to see many visitors coming to Bali and using Kura-Kura Bus!
