This is the 8th year of BALINALE, where 59 award-winning films from 18 countries will be screened over seven days at Beachwalk in Kuta. The lineup includes independent, fiction, documentary, short and feature length films not only from Southeast Asia and Indonesia, but from around the world (see Program Schedule).

The festival provides an important platform for Indonesian films while showcasing the country’s rich culture, diverse locations, talented film industry and unique story ideas to foreign filmmakers. In addition, many filmmakers will introduce their film and get a chance to meet the audience, including Jack Neo – Singapore’s highest grossing feature filmmaker and Lifetime Achievement Award recipient.

The festival will also feature a free open-air cinema, film premieres, Audience Choice Awards, Children’s Charity Program, educational workshops, and celebrity attendances.
