“Once the travel bug bites, there is no known antidote, and I know that I shall be happily infected until the end of my life.” – Michael Palin

Reminiscing the day when we were spending the times in Bali, a little paradise on earth, makes us remember the day when we can have a good time in Ubud or Kuta. There are a few things above others that we miss most about Bali.

Beaches

Everyone knows that Bali has beaches. As a home of great waves to do surfing for beginners to professionals, it’s one of the main reasons people travel way across the world to visit the Island of Gods. It’s the exotic black volcanic beaches of the west or soft white sand beaches in the south. There’s sure to be something for every type of beach-goer. July or August is the perfect month: The heat is in slight remission, while the sparkling waters are deliciously warm and inviting.

Sunset

What is better than to have a 180-degree ocean view over the beach of Canggu? Or watching Kecak Dance as well as watching the sun goes down perfectly. Sunset doesn’t get much better than on Bali. Make the fieriest sun as it sinks into the sea – cold Bintang beer optional.

Island Life

Clear skies, lots of sun, big waves at the beach is definitely Bali! It’s nothing better than walking around in beach clothes, hanging out around Kuta Beach, watching sunsets on Canggu Beach, reading a book, or swinging in a hammock between two palm trees. When living in Bali, it’s not about enjoyment, but the culture and the experience. It’s interaction with locals-especially with Wayan or Made. It’s life at its simplest, and it’s most exciting.

The Food

Make sure to have at least one authentic meals made by a local to get the actual Balinese foodie experience. You can try several new things every day right on the street. From Balinese homemade food, local fruit, or Bali traditional cake. When we first started traveling to Bali, we didn’t know much about the cuisine; most of all, it’s spicy, but as time goes by, we will get used to that taste.

The complexity and uniqueness of the Balinese culture-based Bali Hindu religion. Every year we witness many ceremonies in Bali. A quick glance at the various traditions tells a lot about the lifestyle of the Balinese.

DSC02794The travel and leisure industry in the world, especially Bali, has been one of the hardest hit by the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. But remember, Bali always holds a special place in our hearts. One day we will be able to go back and reunite again, and life will begin to normal again (with holidays playing a huge part in that).
