Es Daluman is a traditional Balinese beverage that is quite famous. Made from plants called Cylea Barbata Myers, or known in Indonesia as cincau, these leaves are often processed into green jelly drinks because it tastes good and is not easily broken compared to other parts of the plant.
This drink is very suitable for drinking in the summer and the price is also very affordable for anyone. Es Daluman can be found everywhere in Bali, from small family shops to even high-end restaurants.

Facts:

Es Daluman has good health benefits especially the green jelly because it can relieve a sore throat. And most Balinese people believe they can relieve and fight off the heat.

Loloh Cemcem

Loloh was originally one of the traditional drinks from the village of Penglipuran, Bangli. Loloh has properties for prevention or treatment and improvement of bodily functions. No wonder when opened, Loloh Cemcem has a strong herb aroma and may not look very appetizing. But now Loloh has been produced with many variants, that don’t all give a bitter taste, for example: Turmeric Loloh added with tamarind, which gives a sour and perfectly balanced the sweetness, very suitable to be enjoyed after a solid activity.

Facts:

There are lots of Loloh versions that are made with different herbs, such as Loloh Don Kayumanis (Cinnamon) to soothe digestive devices, Loloh Don Sembung (Sembung Leaf) to reduce cold cough fever, and many other types of Loloh.

Es Bir

Don’t be fooled by the pronunciation, it’s not Bintang beer  with ice. Despite the name Es Bir, this drink does not contain alcohol at all. Es Bir is easy to get, had similarities to Es Kelapa Muda (young coconut with ice), but it combined with lime juice. Very fresh enjoyed during the day after sunbathing or after enjoying watersports.

Fact:

Es Bir is a drink originating from North Bali (Buleleng). When you vacation in North Bali, you can see many in many warungs or local shop.

Rujak Bir

Balinese people obviously are in love with coconut-based drinks, besides Es Bir, other drinks that are using coconut are Rujak Bir – another quirky name. Even though it’s called a Rujak Bir, this drink will certainly not intoxicate you. Rujak Bir made from a mixture of water and sugar given young coconut shavings and lime juice. If you visit the Klungkung area, we recommend visiting the Klungkung Senggol Market which is located not far from the direction of the city center. There you will find many booths /warung selling Rujak Bir for sale usually for Rp. 5000

Klungkung people usually make Rujak Bir and pairing them with Serombotan (It made of mix boiled vegetables: water lily, spinach, bean sprout, raw rounded eggplant, long beans, red bean, pare grated coconut mixed with spices and chili sauce with lime juice you can add spice to as optional),

Es Gula

Simple. That is what can describe this drink, according to its name Es Gula, this drink is made from melted sugar. Mixed with water, ice cubes, and syrup. Simple but gives maximum harmony. It cost Rp 5000 and can be found at several local Balinese restaurants.

Fact:

Es Gula is usually ordered as a companion to spicy foods such as rujak (traditional salad), tipat cantok, serombotan. It provides freshness for a burning throat.
