Bali Situation - Seminyak (Raya Seminyak Street)
As we know, Seminyak is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Bali. Apart from being famous for its beautiful beaches, the Seminyak area is also renowned complete with various facilities such as hotels, spas, restaurants, bars, cafes and shops along the road.

If you have been to Seminyak before, you will feel the oddity of the current situation in Seminyak. An area that is usually always crowded with local and foreign tourists, but during this pandemic, the Seminyak area looks very quiet. It’s unfortunate, the street seems so deserted, and only a few tourists can be seen.

This photo was taken in October 2020. There are several shops along Jalan Raya Seminyak street that are already open. However, it appears that more are still closed, either temporarily or permanently.

Many restaurants are not yet operational. There were piles of dust-covered restaurant tables and chairs. Not infrequently, we also find other facilities that are not maintained.

Shopkeepers, spa employees, restaurant employees or motorbike taxis who are usually busy,  now they are seen waiting and as if expecting the arrival of customers.

Kura-Kura Bus as public transport is also severely affected. Currently, Kura-Kura Bus is not operating again and is planned to start running in 2021.

However, during this epidemic, Balinese people have never abandoned their habit of maintaining harmony. Balinese people never forget to offer canang and offerings. Seen piles of canang adorn the shrine of the temple. Not infrequently we also find rows of canang along the road in front of shops, restaurants or private houses.
