Tirta Gangga Temple

Tirta Gangga, which means “Water of the Ganges”, is one of famous tourist destinations in Eastern Bali. The one-hectare complex was built in 1946 during the Reign of late King of Karangasem, Anak Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem. Unfortunetly, the palace was destroyed almost entirely by the eruption of nearby Mount Agung in 1963. it has been lovingly re-built and restored and has an air of authentic royal magnificence.

Tirta Gangga water palace is a maze of pools and fountains surrounded by a lush garden and stone carvings and statues. There is the Instagram famous stepping stones that lead around the centre piece – an eleven tiered fountain. You can feed the fish in the area and capture a memorable photo at Tirta Gangga to end your visit.
